Refund Policy

01Overview

Laguna Shield™ offers a 30-Day Risk-Free Trial subject to strict eligibility conditions. Outside of this window, or if service has been activated, refunds are not available. This policy is part of your service agreement and governs all refund and cancellation scenarios.

✅ 30-Day Risk-Free Trial: Cancel within 30 days of enrollment with no claims filed and no service dispatched — receive a full refund of all payments made, processed within 5–10 business days.

⚠️ Service Activation = No Refund: The moment a claim is filed, a technician is dispatched, or any service is received, you are bound to the full 12-month service agreement. No pro-rated or partial refunds are available after service activation.

0230-Day Refund — Eligibility Conditions

A full refund is available only when all four of the following conditions are satisfied simultaneously:

  • Condition 1 — Timing: Your written cancellation request is received within 30 calendar days of your enrollment date.
  • Condition 2 — No Claims Filed: You have not submitted any claim, service request, or emergency dispatch through your member account.
  • Condition 3 — No Technician Dispatched: No technician has been scheduled, assigned, or dispatched to your property under your membership.
  • Condition 4 — No Service Received: You have not received any service, repair, diagnosis, or benefit of value under this Agreement.

If any single condition above is not met, the 30-day refund is void and the full 12-month term obligation applies.

Note on the 15-Day Waiting Period: Your coverage activates 15 days after enrollment. Even during the waiting period, if you submit a claim or a technician is dispatched in anticipation of coverage activation, service activation has occurred and the refund is voided.

03Refund Scenarios — Quick Reference

Cancel within 30 days but a claim was filed or a tech was dispatched. Full 12-month balance owed. No refund.

Cancel after 30 days for any reason, regardless of whether a claim was filed. Full remaining balance due in full.

Cancel after receiving a covered repair. No refund. Remaining term balance due immediately. May be sent to collections if unpaid.

04After Service Activation — No Refunds

Once service has been activated (as defined in Section 02), no refunds of any kind are available. This includes:

  • Partial or pro-rated refunds for unused months of coverage.
  • Refunds for months in which no claims were filed.
  • Refunds requested after a covered repair has been completed.
  • Refunds requested while a claim is pending or in progress.

The monthly membership fee covers more than just individual repairs — it funds technician network access, dispatch infrastructure, AI maintenance tools, and the ability to guarantee $0 service call fees across all member visits. These costs accrue regardless of whether a specific claim is filed in any given month.

Additionally, upon enrollment Laguna Shield™ immediately activates a Partner Network Commitment: licensed contractors in your service area are pre-allocated and capacity is reserved on your behalf from day one. This standing obligation to our service partner network is the commercial basis for the full remaining-term balance that becomes due upon early cancellation. Full terms are in Section 10 of the Terms & Conditions.

Early Cancellation Balance: If you cancel after service activation, the full remaining monthly balance for your current 12-month term becomes immediately due. The Company will invoice this amount upon processing your cancellation. Unpaid balances may be referred to a collections agency.

05How to Request a Refund

To submit a refund request under the 30-Day Risk-Free Trial, follow these steps:

Include Your Details

Provide your full name, enrollment date, service address, and member ID from your dashboard.

Eligibility Review

We verify your request against the four eligibility conditions within 2 business days.

Refund Processed

If eligible, your refund is issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Phone-only refund requests are not accepted. Written requests via email or the member dashboard are required to create a documented record of your cancellation and refund request date.

06Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Chargeback Policy: Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or credit card issuer for a charge that is valid under your service agreement constitutes a violation of these terms. The Company will contest all invalid chargebacks, provide full documentation to the issuing bank, and reserve the right to pursue the full outstanding balance through civil or collections proceedings.

07Company-Initiated Cancellations

If Laguna Shield™ cancels your membership for cause (fraud, misrepresentation, non-payment, abuse, or violation of our Terms & Conditions), no refund will be issued. Any outstanding balance remains due in full.

If the Company cancels your membership for a reason unrelated to your conduct (e.g., service unavailability in your state due to a change in coverage area), you will receive a refund of the unused portion of your current prepaid billing month only. Laguna Shield™ collects fees on a monthly basis and does not charge in advance for future months; accordingly, no additional refund beyond the current billing cycle applies in this scenario. The 12-month partner network commitment described in the Terms & Conditions applies to Member-initiated cancellations and is not affected by this provision.
