01Information We Collect
CGE Technologies, LLC ("we," "us," "Company") collects the following categories of personal information when you enroll in, use, or interact with Laguna Shield™:

We do not collect Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, or sensitive health information.
02How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Service Delivery — Processing enrollment, activating coverage, dispatching technicians, managing claims, and providing all services described in your service agreement.
- Billing & Payments — Charging your payment method for monthly fees, processing refunds, and managing payment disputes.
- Account Management — Maintaining your member dashboard, sending account notifications (activation, renewal, claim status), and responding to support requests.
- Service Improvement — Analyzing how our services are used to improve our platform, coverage offerings, and technician network quality.
- Legal Compliance — Complying with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, and state service contract requirements.
- Fraud Prevention — Detecting, investigating, and preventing fraudulent claims, unauthorized access, and abuse of our service agreement.
- Marketing Communications — Sending you information about plan upgrades, new offerings, and relevant updates. You may opt out at any time.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
03Who We Share Your Information With
We share your personal information only in the following circumstances:
- Service Technicians — We share your name, service address, and claim details with authorized service providers in our network for the sole purpose of completing your approved repair.
- Payment Processors — Your payment information is processed by our third-party payment processor (e.g., Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
- Technology Partners — We use third-party platforms for our member dashboard, CRM, and communication tools. These partners are contractually bound to use your data only to provide services to us.
- Legal Requirements — We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or regulatory authority, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of the Company or its members.
- Business Transfers — If the Company is acquired, merged, or undergoes a change of ownership, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. You will be notified of any such change.
We do not share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for commercial purposes unrelated to your Laguna Shield™ membership.
04Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your membership is active and for a period thereafter as required by law or legitimate business need:
- Active Members — Data is retained for the duration of your membership.
- Cancelled Members — Account data is retained for 7 years following cancellation to comply with tax, legal, and dispute resolution requirements.
- Claims Records — Service and repair records are retained for 7 years from the date of the claim.
- Payment Records — Billing history is retained for 7 years in accordance with financial record-keeping requirements.
- Marketing Data — If you opt out of marketing, we retain a suppression record to honor your preference.
You may request deletion of your personal data subject to exceptions where retention is required by law (see Section 7 — Your Rights).
05Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include:
- Encrypted transmission of data using TLS (HTTPS) across all member-facing platforms.
- Tokenization of payment card data — we do not store raw card numbers.
- Access controls limiting employee access to personal data on a need-to-know basis.
- Regular security reviews of our systems and third-party vendors.
No system is completely secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable state law.

06Cookies & Tracking
Our website and member dashboard use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve our services:
- Essential Cookies — Required for the member dashboard and login sessions to function. Cannot be disabled.
- Analytics Cookies — Used to understand how visitors use our website (e.g., Google Analytics). These are anonymized and do not identify you personally.
- Marketing Cookies — Used to track the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. You may opt out via your browser settings or by visiting optout.networkadvertising.org.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may impair the functionality of your member dashboard.
07Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access — Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction — Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
- Deletion — Request deletion of your personal information, subject to exceptions where we are required to retain data by law (e.g., claims records, billing history).
- Opt-Out of Marketing — Unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or by contacting us directly.
- Portability — In some jurisdictions, request that your data be provided to you in a machine-readable format.
- Non-Discrimination — We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy rights available to you under applicable law.
To exercise any of the above rights, submit a written request to [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.
08California Residents — CCPA Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), grants you the following additional rights:
- Right to Know — You may request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, our business purpose, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
- Right to Delete — You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to Correct — You may request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to Opt Out of Sale/Sharing — We do not sell your personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information — We do not use sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary to provide our services.
- Right to Non-Discrimination — We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.

California residents may also designate an authorized agent to submit requests on their behalf. We will require written authorization and identity verification before processing agent requests.
09Children's Privacy
Laguna Shield™ is intended for adults 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.
10Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or services. When we make material changes, we will notify active Members by email at least 30 days before the updated policy takes effect. The updated policy will also be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
Your continued use of Laguna Shield™ services after the effective date of the revised policy constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
